Tea set indpired by Laith Karmo

For my project I based the look and shape of my tea set off of the ceramic artist Laith Karmo. Laith was born in Detroit, Mi and he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2004 from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. He also recieved his Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 2006. His work has also been showcased in numerous exibits around the country. Laith's style is intriguing to me because of his interesting shapes and sharpe edges he is able to create. I love to work with geometric shapes and try to create sharp angles in my pieces, so I was drawn to his work as soon as I saw it. I was also fascinasted with the clean cut lines he was able to establish, and by seeing these I was inspired to create similar angles and lines. Although he usually uses one solid glaze throughout his pieces i decided to add my own creativity into my set by outlining and highlighting my piece with primary colors as well as black and white.
